Whats the rate of feeding in the US?

Im from Australia and here mums 'have to' establish feeding before we are allowed to leave hospital, and alternatives arent even discussed. I was genuinely interested what the procedure is over there, as all the Y?A postings I've read give the impression that US mums as a majority formula feed. Or do the majority pump and then bottle feed? No judgement whatsoever, Im just wondering as all the answers give very precise daily ounce intakes for babies which is almost impossible to ascertain with feeding. Ta
