Did you really believe no tax increase on the middle and lower cl?

I just read Obama's carbon tax proposal for 2010. It will increase home electric rates by about $15 per month , increasing to $50 per month within 10 years. (after he's gone of course) This tax falls equally on rich or poor. But of course it's no problem for the rich. But it's a pretty hefty tax increase for the lower income folks. It may or may not be worthwhile, but it sure makes "no tax increase for those under $250,000 a lie"
