Did anyone else find themselves utterly confused by "Watchmen"?

I know the movie and the graphic novel (though I have never read it) were designed to make you think and rethink your idea of superheroes, justice, and right versus wrong, but I only found myself in search for a point for the movie. I completely lost on what I should rate this movie or if I should recomend it to others. On one hand, it is a complete joke, but on the other it attempts to be an extremely deep and thought provoking film. What did you think about the movie?
