Cant recieve boxed,large wedding gifts at wedding...getting married in edmonton but live in Tulsa?

i need to spread it by word of mouth to not recieve boxed wedding gifts at our wedding..i know i cannot write it on invites and i wouldnt anyway. There are always someone thatll bringa gift anyway, and we dont want to pay a bunch of shipping costs. My fiance says whatever comes from his family (box gifts) he'll give to his sister, and whatever comes from my side cann go to my family...i really dont like this idea, because those gifts are for us, not to be selfish, but they are for the both of us, and i dont want to give OUR gifts to his sister or mine if we cant have them. I really hope nobody gives us anything...i said we can store them at our parents till we can find a way, but he still thinks that if it comes from his family he can do what he wants with it, and if its from my family, i can do what i want...im trying to get across to him that it doesnt matter WHO they are from they are for the 2 of us, and we should both decide what to do with them. How to go about this??
