Any tips on how to adjust skin to new climate?

A few months ago I moved from a very humid climate at sea-level to a high-elevation dry climate. I never used to have a problem with acne at all, but since I moved here I've noticed black heads and zits expecially around my nose. Does anyone know why this happens or have tips for how to help my skin adjust to this new climate?
